Crash Partially Closes Route 1 In South Brunswick (Developing)

Route 1 northbound in South Brunswick was partially closed due to a crash, authorities said.

Police put out an alert at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, saying Route 1 near Northumberland Way would remain closed for another two hours.

The route was reopened at about 3:30 p.m.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation attributed the delays to "police activity."

A developing report shortly before 8 a.m. said a pedestrian was involved in the crash.
